It seems like former Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha has been keeping busy as of late. According to his new official site, after last year’s tour with Tinted Windows, Iha has remixed the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, written the score to a Japanese independent film, and started work on the new Raymond & Maria album.
Oh, yeah. According to a headline post on his site, he’s also begun work on his “long-awaited follow-up solo album” which he jokes is halfway done “(in his mind)” (!).

"The release date for “Hawk” the upcoming third record from Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan has been set- August 23rd in the UK & Europe, and August 24th in the US.
Direct Current reports:
Guests on the album include Victoria Williams, James Iha and Willie Mason. The U.S. version of the new album is said to include multiple bonus tracks.
Tour dates are beginning to surface as well, including September 10 at the Barbican Hall in London."
Following their earlier acclaimed albums - Ballad of the Broken Seas and Sunday At Devil Dirt – Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan return this summer with Hawk, their third album and most definitive artistic statement yet.
Campbell and Lanegan again complement each other beautifully, while continuing to mine the same rich seam of alt-country, folk, blues and jazz of their previous two release. This time round Isobel has branched out a little, collaborating with kindred spirit Willy Mason on a couple of new tracks.
