Переслушивал в очередной раз QAOS, и че-то меня так притаращило от этих демок, что этот грязный и грубый звук мне теперь нравится гораздо больше прилизанного и выстраданного Корганом альбомного звука. =))

Я ваще обеими руками за то,чтоб новый альбом звучал как из гаража,как бля THE STOOGES в 1969-1970,когда мистер Игги Поп давал всем прикурить и ваще просто давал стране угля по полной!!!! Тока чтоб саунд был "студжеский" именно по его сырости звучания,ну а всё остальное,разумеется,должно быть только тыквенное)) Короче,мне нужна жесть,сырость,наждак,острые гвозди и два пальца в розетку бля с напряжением в 300 вольт,а не гладко-выбритое звучание,как типа на "Nevermind" NIRVANA))
Вряд ли моим желаниям суждено сбыться... |

In advance of the Smashing Pumpkins’ tour of Australia, which kicks off on July 26, Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan has done print interviews for both Triple J Magazine (outtakes of which are online) and the Australian edition of Rolling Stone (which put a simulacrum of Corgan on its cover).
In both interviews, he reflects on his entire career trajectory and how the Pumpkins’ new album Oceania relates to his earlier body of work. In addition, for Rolling Stone, Corgan reflected on the making of Siamese Dream, including some interesting anecdotes about the band’s interpersonal relationships at the time.
Below the jump are 3 excerpted quotations
Corgan tells Triple J’s Jaymz Clements about his journey in the last ten years:
You just write from where you’re at, and you have these periods where it makes a lot of sense and you have these periods where it’s really a struggle. The last 10 years have been a very strange journey; it’s been a spiritually prevalent time, more so than musical, and translating [that] back into the material where I feel strongly about music and playing… that’s been a struggle. It wasn’t easy for me to go: “This is no problem: God and rock’n'roll.” It took a while to kind of absorb it.
On a similar note, to Rolling Stone‘s Ian Winwood:
From a spiritual perspective, to believe that you’re forever going to remain on a high is a fool’s folly. So if you’re an organic artist then you’re going to realize that the fallow times have as much to do with greatness as the more prosperous times. But no one really wants to follow you down, to paraphrase Bob Dylan. No one wants to follow you down the rabbit hole. Only the most ardent fan is going to sift through those 10 songs to find the one song that he or she really loves. I’m that type of fan.
Also to Winwood, on the supposed dysfunction of the original lineup of Smashing Pumpkins:
I still don’t believe it was dysfunction that drove us. If it did, then how was it that we produced so much music? Normally it’s the twenty-something crowd that believe that sort of thing. I said that to a kid, who was a fan. I said, “How could we have produced all that music?” With Nirvana, because of Kurt’s personal problems, you can see how the dysfunction limited the amount of music the group was able to make. So how did we make three times more music? There has to be something that worked.
