что верно, то верно. Альбом целиком это одно, а обрывки по 30 секунд - это конечно так, прикола ради, какое уж тут мнение можно составить в целом, хаха. Но то, что я услышал сегодня, мне вкатило.

Billy Corgan was interviewed by Major League Wrestling’s Mister Saint Laurent in a podcast that was published Thursday. The 40-some minute interview (prepended with perhaps the longest intro music in the podcasting history) mostly touched on Corgan’s work in organizing his Resistance Pro wrestling organization, his childhood love of pro wrestling, and his rediscovery of his love for the sport late at night channel surfing in a Florida hotel room.
In discussing the difficulty in juggling his schedule as the leader of the Smashing Pumpkins and as the head of Resistance Pro, Billy said that the band has been offered a chance to play somewhere in South America in 3 to 4 weeks. A US tour is being planned for the fall (as was seen in the promotional items uploaded to the Smashing Pumpkins Facebook account), with nothing concrete to announce yet. Billy described the current economic environment for touring as “really difficult”.
When asked about Oceania, Billy described the band’s desire setting out to make the record was for it not to be a nostalgic rehash of the Smashing Pumpkins of the past. He described the band’s own initial impression of the final result as being “it’s pretty weird, but it sounds really good.” When they played the album for others, the Billy’s description of their reaction was “Wow, this reminds me of the Pumpkins the way I remember it, but yet it doesn’t sound like them.”
Corgan also said that Lightning Strikes and Owata will only receive a physical release with the final Teargarden by Kaleidyscope project boxset, “along with 20 to 30 demos”. Simple math says that if one combines the 10 existing “A-side” Teargarden songs, the 13 Oceania songs, and then add a minimum of 20 more “demos”, one gets to 43 songs, just one short of the initial announced target size of the Teargarden project. It does perhaps beg the question of whether Billy plans to truly finish the song-at-a-time Teargarden project as it was initially mapped out after Oceania has run its course, or instead simply release the remainders as demos with the final boxset.

Billy Corgan visited Chicago radio station WXRT this afternoon, where he spoke with drive time DJ Terri Hemmert. Video and audio of the interview are available at WXRT’s website. Corgan and Hemmert discussed the evolution of the Smashing Pumpkins’ ongoing Teargarden by Kaleidyscope project, and their upcoming album Oceania.
Of that album, he said “coming up here [on the] 12th it will be available to be heard on iTunes, and on the 19th it will be up for sale.”
He also announced an “Oceania Cruise,” to take place on the waters of Lake Michigan on June 12th. The lucky fans chosen for the cruise will be treated to a private Oceania listening party with the Smashing Pumpkins, and perhaps a brief live performance by Corgan as well.
Fans can win tickets in at least two ways: by texting “PUMPKINS” to 59393, or by posting an essay to Facebook and asking their friends to comment and “like” it.

очень надеюсь, что Корган не подведёт на сей раз. Потому как песни с Teargarden'a - это выше моих сил, моральных и духовных. Даже их и не слушал потом после того, как те 2 EPшки вышли. Tom Tom запороли в студии и превратили в уг какое-то, хотя изначально был огромный потенциал у данной песни. Но это всего лишь моё субъективное мнение.
Что куда более важно сейчас, на данном этапе в творчестве Коргана, как мне кажется, так это нести огонь, который когда-то был у него и горел мощным ярким пламенем. Но потом, после 2008-2009, всё пошло совершенно не в ту сторону. И это меня очень сильно разочаровало тогда.
Так что надежда теплится ещё, не огонь, но пусть хоть горячие угли
