И он имеет право его высказать. А я имею право не согласиться с ним. Все довольны, всё прекрасно.
Только вот одно мне не даёт покоя. Тот факт, что Корган сейчас просто пытается сделать хорошую мину при плохой игре, имхо.

But if Corgan feels the need to try and keep the Smashing Pumpkins name and legacy alive without involving anyone who helped him build that legacy in the long-gone days of "Siamese Dream," at least he did his best to do the legend justice Wednesday night, Dec. 8, at Wild Horse Pass casino, investing himself in a crowd-pleasing marathon set. The Pumpkins' leader may have parted ways with drummer Jimmy Chamberlin over the issue of what constitutes an "oldies act" and whether Smashing Pumpkins should become one. But that didn't stop him from treating the crowd to inspired performances of such Modern Rock radio staples as "Cherub Rock," "Today," "Bullet with Butterfly Wings," "Tonight, Tonight," "Ava Adore" and "Stand Inside Your Love" in the course of a two-hour set whose more explosive moments made it feel as much like 1994 as any music could. He even played "Disarm," on acoustic guitar, after telling the crowd, "You're supposed to play all the songs you're supposed to play. But I don't want to play all the songs I'm supposed to play. So I didn't think I wanted to play this song tonight, but I really appreciate you listening to our show tonight. We've played in front of a lot of audiences. . . . Audiences are different all over the world. But there's one thing that matters most to us, which is the respect to actually listen to what we're doing, so thank you so much for that tonight. I really appreciate it. And I'd like to dedicate this song to all of you." It's not unusual, of course, for an artist to try to make the audience feel special. But this didn't feel like showmanship or pandering. It felt like Corgan being genuinely moved by the reception he'd been getting to a set that wasn't shy about calling attention to his latest work. They'd opened with "The Fellowship" from "Teargarden by Kaleidyscope Vol. 2: The Solstice Bare," setting the tone for the concert with a chorus that demanded, "Are you with us or against us tonight?" And then, after giving nostalgia its due with a raucous performance of "Bullet With Butterfly Wings," it was back to more recent material with the intense garage-rock swagger of "Tarantula" from 2007's "Zeitgeist" album and two psychedelic treasures from "Teargarden" - "My Love is Winter," which featured a dual guitar lead with second guitarist Jeff Schroeder after each guitarist took his own lead, and the Zeppelin-does-Donovan ballad, "A Song for a Son." By the time he sang "I used to be a little boy" on "Disarm," he'd made his way through several other recent songs, from the punkish abandon of "As Rome Burns" to "Spangled" (which featured a finger-picked guitar part that echoed the Beatles' later work), the upbeat '60s pop of "Tom Tom" and "United States" (again, from "Zeitgeist"). The new kids definitely earned their keep, with 20-year-old drummer Mike Byrne attacking the kit with authority and a thundering approach that said his favorite drummer was John Bonham long before they'd made their way around to covering Led Zeppelin's "Moby Dick" (although everyone leaving the stage so he could do a proper solo may have been a bit much). And Nicole Fiorentino brought a heavy bass groove to such raucous highlights as "United States" and "Freak." What really made the concert feel like something special, though, was Corgan, who, despite his reputation as a temperamental artist, proved a warm, contagious, funny onstage presence - interacting with his bandmates, grinning like a schoolboy, flicking his guitar picks to the balcony and joking about how the next day's reviews would say Corgan had "lectured" the crowd about crowd-surfing during a rambling, hilarious monologue about crowd-surfing fans in their 30-s. "It's not a Pearl Jam video, you know what I mean?" Corgan joked. "It's 2010." It is 2010. And that's where Corgan's head and heart are. But on Wednesday night, at least, it seemed as though he'd made at least some kind of peace with the days when those fans who'd come to see a hero of their teenage days could crowd-surf like nobody's business.

But I don’t get that. I think it’s really juvenile. I’m in the Duke Ellington school of thought, that there’s good music and bad music. I don’t know what kind of guy Howlin’ Wolf was, but I know the kind of guy I think he was.
