Судебное разбирательство стало полной неожиданностью для Гарсиа, Бьорка и поклонников Kyuss - учитывая, что Ридер играл несколько концертов в составе проекта Kyuss Lives!, а на YouTube выложен клип, в котором Джош Хомм с радостью слушает выступление сет группы во Франции прошлым летом.



Хомм собрал Kyuss при участии Гарсиа и Бьорка в конце 1980-х годов. В составе пректа за годы существования сменилось несколько бас-гитаристов (Ник Кокрелл, Ник Оливери и Ридер).

Группа выпустила несколько альбомов, которые считаются классикой стоунер-метала: «Blues for the Red Sun» (1992), «Welcome to Sky Valley» (1994), «...And the Circus Leaves Town» (1995).

Kyuss распались в 1995 году, а Хомм возглавил Queens of the Stone Age.


Гарсиа и Бьорк согласились ответить на вопросы Rolling Stone посредством электронной почты.

Таким же составом, который получил название Melvins Lite, музыканты отправятся в тур.

Группа Melvins была основана в штате Вашингтон в 1983 году. За свою карьеру коллектив выпустил 18 студийных альбомов. Melvins считаются одними из родоначальников стиля гранж; в частности, группа оказала значительное влияние на Nirvana и Soundgarden.
