The answer is, Mike Garson has played with them all!.
These have been called “The fastest fingers in jazz.”
David Bowie, for whom Garson has long been music director, says, “He’s the best rock & roll pianist I know.” Recording group Free Flight took advantage of his classical training, and Hollywood calls when it needs a virtuoso assoluto. In short, Mike Garson is a phenomenon, able to mimic Bill Evans or Liberace on command, or to soothe an audience with New Age hypnotics. But he’s at his very best wearing his “jazz hat.”
Supported by a stellar cast of Brian Bromberg (acoustic bass), Ralph Humphries (drums) and Eric Marienthal (alto saxophone), Garson turns in a memorable set of originals and imaginative arrangements of standards. Most tracks were previously available on RR-53-—long out of print—plus, for this re-release, we’ve added Garson’s “take no prisoners” improvisation on Gershwin themes—also long out of print. The package is graced by his own computer art. Is there no limit to Garson’s talent?

"If any proof is needed that the power of blues is easier to find than ever, look no further than Darren Deicide," says The Aquarian Weekly. Darren Deicide was born on Halloween in the rhythm and blues filled environment of Chicago.
With his self-taught playing style, trademark vocals that one review said "makes Satan himself feel as if he is not sinister enough", and a stomping foot, Darren Deicide delivers a contemporary style of roots-influenced rock that has been described as "John Lee Hooker meets Johnny Rotten" and "raw, bluesy punk by a one-man dervish". Like his own multi-cultural background, his music is an eclectic hybrid of many blues-based styles, but remains, as described in another review, as "good, pissed snot-infested rock n roll".
Always a fixture on the independent music scene, Darren Deicide would ultimately ramble his way to New Jersey. There he initiated Ever Reviled Records, a collectively owned and run record label that releases counter-cultural music, and became vocalist/guitarist for the now defunct, politically-charged rock band Hopeless Dregs of Humanity from whose remnants emerged his solo project. He maintains a continuous touring schedule and has played with a diverse array of notable artists all over the American east coast, south, and midwest that has spanned from Dead Prez to Danny and the Juniors. He's played on Fox 5's "Good Day New York" as a featured artist on the Make Music New York festival. He is also a columnist for The Aquarian Weekly where his column, "Agent Provocateur", affirms his reputation as a firebrand.
"The Jersey Devil is Here", his third full-length release, was recorded in analog reel-to-reel and is available now on Ever Reviled Records.

For those that man simply enjoy listening to the birth of the AEnima era, then this recording will hit nicely with what your tastes are.

On this release, Screaming Trees man Mark Lanegan applies his tobacco-flavored tones to ‘Same Old Man’, a traditional made famous by the haunting New York singer-songwriter Karen Dalton. What Dalton achieves with the traditional instruments of America (notably her celebrated banjo) in her 1971 arrangement, Lanegan re-imagines with strings, droning Indian tones, sitars and sub-continent-sized production.
A side is produced by Alain Johannes and recorded at 11 AD, Los Angeles, CA, July 2012. B side features the original Karen Dalton version as remastered by Dave Cooley for our reissue of her “I’m My Own Time” album from 1971

По словам Роберта Планта, он хотел бы продолжать петь, но у него нет желания собирать новую группу или записывать полноценный альбом. Последней на сегодняшний день студийной работой Планта является пластинка "Band of Joy", записанная при поддержке одноименной группы и поступившая в продажу в сентябре 2010 года.
Релиз предыдущего студийного альбома Primal Scream "Beautiful Future" состоялся в июле 2008 года. Когда именно будет выпущена следующая (десятая по счету) пластинка группы, не уточняется. Официальное название диска также не указывается.

Puerto Rican guitarist from the nu-prog rockers The Mars Volta, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, has confirmed that the 6-part group have officially entered in a hiatus, stating that he does not know whether or not the group will reunite, but that it is not something to worry the mind.
Mark Lanegan discusses Mad Season and Gutter Twins, releases "Christmas Album"
In a new interview, Lanegan discusses releases with Mad Season, Gutter Twins, Duke Garwood, and more. The interview was published in Polish, and is crudely translated into English. Here are some excerpts:
- You can tell on what is currently working on, because I know that you do not plan new album with Isobel Campbell, will not you also resulting in pain the new version Queens Of The Stone Age.
- Recordings already done a long time ago, but at the beginning of next year will be released at the end of my joint record with Duke Garwood. This fantastically talented British singer, in which I pointed out a long time ago. This is fucking intense live. Besides, you also check it, because it will be with me for the next tour. Like my Belgian friends from Creature With The Atom Brain.
- And what about the Gutter Twins?
- Ask Greg. I’m ready, but it is currently Dulli playing concerts with Afghan Whigs, maybe go over to a theme the new album.
- On the web there are rumors that you sing on the second album, Mad Season. It sounds sensational.
- Nah, it’s crap. The thing is: the label is planning to release a special box with the re-edition of “Above” in the next year. For remastered by Mike [McCready] board to be included live recordings, concert DVDs and some rarities. Among other things, three pieces that were written for the second album, but were never recorded vocals for them. I recorded these parties, and I think that came out really well. This is my small tribute to Layne and John [respectively Staley and Baker Saunders, both musicians have died from an overdose of heroin], are no longer with us.

The end result is Bish Bosch, a tauter but more colourful experience than The Drift, with greater emphasis on processed, abrasive guitars, digital keyboards and thick silences. For the cover art, Scott worked closely with painter Ben Farquharson and designer Philip Laslett.

Estranged QOTSA member Nick Oliveri has used the Facebook page for his “other” band Mondo Generator to announce that he has returned to recorded vocals on a new Queens of the Stone Age song for the first time since he was fired from the group in 2004. Oliveri had been keen to rejoin Queens of the Stone Age for several years but he revealed last year that Homme had rejected the idea. “I saw them play was a benefit for Brian [O’Connor] in L.A., from the Eagles [of Death Metal],” Oliveri explained. “I was down there and I mentioned to them, ‘Why don’t I come up and do ‘Millionaire’ or something, and sing it and not play bass?’ [Homme] was like, ‘Nah, I don’t think that’s a good idea yet’.”
Now we’re just waiting on a confirmation that Mark Lanegan is involved and the whole gang is back together.

saw mark last thursday in budapest…great gig…he played hangin tree at the end…there is a european tour poster on sale at the gigs…unsigned not numbered numbered…the signed and numbered are from justin hamptons website…two versions really nice…i asked if had anything to do with new Qotsa album…he said he wrote some lyrics but that he has heard several songs and says it is good
According to the post, Lanegan has written some lyrics for the new Queens of the Stone Age album and has heard several new Queens songs. Lanegan’s project with Duke Garwood has already been announced, and that album is set for release in 2013. Also, according to the post, Mark will start working on a new solo album in January 2013.

Press Release: Like her other 9 albums, No Elephants is made like a book to read to the end. There is foreshadowing from melodies and ideas that weave the record's story together, and it takes time and imagination from the reader/listener. Unfortunately, few people these days take the time to make or listen to an album created as a whole piece, but No Elephants is short and worthy of the attention paid. "Making a record any other way doesn't work for me," she says.
This is a deeply felt, simply and beautifully orchestrated music whose dulcet charms, when scratched, reveal an ineffable glow. While Lisa's lyrics can be forcefully literal, they're also gratifyingly figurative; as pure music, her songs offer a resonantly oblique time and place. Such a feeling resounds on the opening track, "Ruminants," a pensive lullabye that has, Lisa says, something to do with the natural order to this world that the human race has messed up, especially in how we treat animals and the earth itself. "My communication with myself, the earth and it's beings is getting weirder every day," comments Germano. "If I could replace all the shit in my head, my troubles relating to humans and the earth's beings' troubles relating back to me...I think that's what this record is about."
